MPF
Testimonials
| Last
year was the first year I can remember having and injury free
season. MPF Training Systems and their training methods helped
us get to # 5 in the state with 4 National Champions, 2 of which
were undefeated in two different weight classes. This is the
strongest and best conditioned our team has been. I highly recommend
Joe and MPF Training Systems!

There
are trainers that pretend to know what they are doing and
then there are those that are highly skilled professionals
that produce results. How can you tell which of the two that
you have? I knew that I had the latter when my 14 year old
exercise lazy/computer nerd son begged me to return him to
MPF Training Systems. I immediately scheduled another set
of session. On a serious note, MPF developed specialized training
programs that catered to both of my sons who have different
physiques and sporting needs. They were trained during the
same session with routines that were selected for the form
and type of athlete that each is and the results were incredible!
MPF worked perfectly for our family where they accommodated
for one son who has Osgood Schlatter and another who was recovering
from a possible career-ending injury. Joe of MPF chose each
of their programs based upon the sports they were doing, their
position, the location and type of injury situation both had
and also included routines that Joe felt both boys needed
to become sound and successful athletes.
My son Khalid has been suffering from a major case of Osgood
Schlatter that not only affected his knees but many other
areas of his body. Over the past 4 years he has had effusion/avulsion,
hip, wrist and growth plate fractures, pulled muscles, tendonitis,
fasciitis, etc. – all due to his growing too fast during
a small time frame. It is very frustrating for a kid not to
be able to walk without pulling, tearing or breaking something.
But after starting summer training with MPF in 2009, Khalid
has been injury free. Joe provided Khalid with a specialized
stretching and strengthening program where for the first time
in 4 years Khalid is able to participate in sports again -
INJURY FREE. Not only that, Khalid loves his buff body and
has successfully fulfilled his goal of dunking a basketball.
Thank you Joe!
My other son (Malik) was skinny and has been out of sports
for the 2009 and part of the 2010 season due to an injury.
Joe developed a specialized training program that helped him
re-build and recover and gain muscle mass that fits his framework.
Malik is very proud of his manly physique and so are the girls!
I can’t thank you for that one Joe.
I recommend MPF training for any sport that your kids are
involved in for they have the expertise, time and knowledge
that will amaze you. I recommend MPL for anyone who would
like to stay in shape. MPL is not just good for recovery for
I have seen some of their other clients and I see the same
positive results for those seeking physical advancement. Consider
it an investment to work with MPF – one that you will
see a return on your money sooner and better than you would
on Wall street!

I started
to training with MPF Training Systems in July 2009 when I
started I was 260 and I was playing football in high school
I was not the greatest shape and my performance was down due
to my weight. I was running a 6.7 40 yard dash and my bench
was only a 130lbs and I never was taught to squat properly.
By the end of the summer I had dropped thirty pounds. By the
end of the summer and due to my weight loss, I had dropped
my 40 yard dash to 6.1 and was taught proper sprint mechanics.
I kept training with MPF Training Systems throughout my sports.
By going to them has helped keep injury free and has showed
that hard work really pays off! I now play Varsity Lacrosse
as a starter and as of now I weigh 206lbs, run a 5.4 40 and
bench a solid 245lbs and in the best shape I have been in
my life. I think if it wasn’t for MPF Training Systems
I would be headed down a road with health issues and sports
injuries. They have changed me from weighing 260lbs to 206lbs
in less than a year!

The
Role of a Strength and Conditioning Coach
The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for improving
an athlete's performance and preventing common sports related
injuries. By determining the strengths and weaknesses of
an athlete, a training program is devised to enhance performance
and correct imbalances and deficiencies which may lead to
injury.
Technical Skill v/s Athletic Skill
Participation in sports requires a blend of technical skills
and athletic skills. The exact amount of each is dependent
on the sport and level of competition. Technical skills,
such as throwing for the baseball player or shooting for
the lacrosse player, are required explicitly by each sport.
Between tournaments, leagues, games and practices, technical
skills are, at times, practiced 5-6 days per week for the
greater part of the calendar year. Athletic skills such
as power, strength, flexibility, balance, speed and agility
are required by all sports but their role and level of importance
in each sport will vary. Athletic skills training will enhance
the execution of technical skills, increase performance
and prevent injury.
